A little bit about you:
Hi, I'm Karen Altamirano, I have a degree in social communication. I have been working as a Social Media Manager since 2017.
A little bit about your role at PWB:
I execute the digital communication strategy in social networks to obtain a better reach of content and position PWB in digital channels.
What are you most looking forward to in your role? Develop a digital community to achieve the established objectives. Show on social networks that the work being done at PWB is telling stories that move and invite people to join a cause.
What are you most passionate about?
I like to express myself and tell stories through voice, photography, writing and watercolor. I am inspired by music, colors. Dreaming of freedom for all animals, human and non-human.
Why is decolonizing photography/storytelling important to you?
It is important to think of human beings and animals from the right to dignity regardless of their place of origin.
What are your personal goals? How do they align with your work at PWB?
I want to be a better communicator of human and animal rights. Developing professionally in a global organization gives me a lot of enthusiasm to give my best to achieve goals together.
