We invite you to join us as we explore what “storytelling for change” really looks like. With different screenings, workshops and events happening each month, there’s always something to dive into.
NEXT SESSION:
DEC 4 @ 3:45PM PST / 6:45PM EST
GUEST:
Rasha Al Jundi is a Palestinian visual storyteller who finds deep resonance in narratives of historical and ongoing injustices tied to land dispossession.
Her project, Where the Grapes Were Sour, showcases stories of Palestinians in the diaspora through black-and-white photographic portraits embroidered with traditional Palestinian motifs. These portraits—including some of her own family—are paired with personal stories that reflect a profound connection to heritage and homeland. Each motif is carefully chosen to reflect the individual’s unique cultural identity.
GUEST:
Nader Khouri, a seasoned visual storyteller, began his career in 1999 as a newspaper photojournalist and now works as a commercial food photographer. Born and raised in the U.S. by parents who survived the Nakba, Nader has spent time in Palestine, where he developed a powerful series documenting Palestinian farmers and their daily struggle to access land impacted by the Apartheid Wall. Through his work, he remains an outspoken advocate for Palestinian human rights.
